Security filters are a common type of industrial filtration equipment, primarily used to separate impurities from liquids or gases to ensure the purity of the medium.

They are widely used in various fields, including chemicals, electronics, and food processing.

Based on their structure and application, security filters can be divided into the following categories:

1. Bag filters: These use filter bags as the filter medium and are suitable for handling high-flow, low-viscosity liquids. Bag replacement is convenient and cost-effective.

2. Cartridge filters: These use cylindrical filter elements with a large filtration area, making them suitable for high-precision filtration needs, such as ultrapure water production in the electronics industry.

3. Basket filters: These use a metal mesh basket inside and are primarily used to intercept larger particles. They are commonly used as pre-filtration in pipeline systems.

When selecting a security filter, must be considered the following factors:

1. Media characteristics: These include factors such as pH, temperature, and viscosity, which affect the filter media's tolerance and filtration efficiency.

2. Flow rate requirements: Select a filter of appropriate size based on the system's throughput to avoid reduced filtration efficiency due to excessively high flow rates.

3. Maintenance cost: The filter element is a consumable part and needs to be replaced regularly. The comprehensive cost should be calculated for long-term use.
